1 year of learning Biotechnology has taught me a lot of things...
For instance,
I have learnt properly how to pin a cockroach so beautifully on the dissection board..
Actually i was meant to learn how to dissect it and clearly show the nervous system including the ganglion..But showing the nervous system itself took me enormous amount of time and patience. The ganglion was ever worser, I clearly never undertsood how I was supposed to show the ganglion when I never even knew how it looked like... :P
Also we had to display the five parts of a cockroach's mouth...Goshh till that day I never ever even imagined that a cockroach would also have a TONGUE ;) ;)
But I wasn't that lame either...I learnt properly how to dissect an earthworm and display its nervous system...The cleaning part was a bit nasty and yuckkk ( hate the smell )..But the worst part is the day when my earthworm practicals got over I had to have noodles for dinner :'( :'(
Secondly, comes PLANT DIVERSITY... My professor had some unique pronunciation disorder..I sometimes was so stunned by his pronunciation that I would stop jotting down the notes and wonder at his intelligence. But I loved both my professors who took the subject..One never used to take classes AT ALL.. The other gave notes here and there..
The most amazing thing I love doing in the lab is STERILIZING THE INOCULATION LOOP :D :D :D
Its soo fun doing that.Besides the flame would lit up so lovely..That's the most romantic part of doing practicals *blush*blush*
Also submitting the records, assignments at the last minute..Running up and down the schedules..The last minute tests..Long boring lectures... WORSER long long boring guest lectures..God kill those people who come in for guest lectures...
But all said and done... One year has taught me a lot, but most of all I enjoyed biotech like no other freakin specimen in this planet...
SO finally
