Mr and Mrs Iyer- A Masterpiece work from Aparna Sen

Sometimes amid the silent echoes of the night,when the whole world seems to stand still,undisturbed by the dangers that exist in the world, a soul surrenders itself to an epic work of art...That's exactly what happened with me when I watched Mr & Mrs Iyer around 1 a.m. when the whole world was asleep...

It is a movie, or rather an epic which was filled with several messages to the world regarding communal disputes,riots,killings..But amid all that chaos was a neatly woven mild love story that shall never have a happy ending...Although the ending was something that I knew would happen,it was something that my heart wished to never ever happen..I couldn't hold myself together for hours after I had finished watching the movie..Its impact was so much that I had to spent the rest of the night in utter silence with a heavy heart filled with pain..

The elderly pair Iqbal and Najma made me wonder if love lasts that long in a marriage...

From a girl who was completely bothered about castes and customs to a girl with high self control Meenakshi really made me wonder if I could ever be that controlled..

I loved Raja's accent and his genuine nature...Wondering if men like him really exist??

Epitome of true care and genuineness..No words to describe his character...A true gentlemen from every aspect..

I really hoped the station would never come,and the journey would never end...A movie that left me completely shattered ,questioning all my ideals and taught me the reality of life,..

Tears and a heavy heart is what I was left with...
